“冻死了”英文该这样说，你绝对想不到

我一直很好奇，

为什么很多中国的北方人都很豪爽，说话很直接？

直到有一天一个东北的女汉子告诉我：

“天寒地冻的，哪有时间跟你在那儿磨叽！”

Well it's starting to get cold here in China.

What about your city?

How would you describe the temperature?

那今天我们来学一下用不同的姿势表达“冷”

我们可以说：

Chilly/Cool

Cold

Freezing

If you want to get dramtic you can even add a 。。死了

onto the end to say it is 冷死了

“I’m freezing to death!”

我经常听到有人说“今天冷死了”

但是注意英文里不可以说“the weather is freezing to death”

freezing只是用来表示你自己的感受

Imagine you are on a vacation of the entire US and your friends call to see how you aredoing, you might say something like this:

Situation1

How is New York?

CentralPark is beautiful,but starting to get chilly.

纽约天气怎么样？

中央公园很美，但是天气开始变冷了

Situation2

How is Alaska? See any bears?

I haven’t gone outside to look, I’m freezing to death!!!

阿拉斯加天气怎么样？看到熊了吗？

我没出去，冻死了。

来看一下地道表达吧

1. It's freezing/chilly out there!

外面冷死了！

2. It's a bit nippy today, but I will still run my usual distance.

虽然今天有点冷，但我还是会坚持和往常跑一样远的。

3. There is a real nip in the air today.

今天寒气袭人。

4. It's brass monkey weather today. You'd better wrap up warm!

今天真是冷得要命，你最好穿暖和点。

5. Tomorrow is supposed to be mind-numbingly cold. I need to get out my heavy winter jacket.

明天应该非常冷，我需要拿出我的厚棉袄了。

6. The wind really chills me to the bone. / The wind is bone-chilling.

这寒风真是刺骨。

7. I'm frozen/stiff.

我简直冻僵了。

8. I am freezing my toes off.

我脚趾都快冻掉了。

9. The wind just cuts right through you.

风简直是直接穿过身体。

10. I can't stop shivering from the cold.

我冷得不停打哆嗦。
